A BIT MORE:
What is one of your greatest memories from the Olympic Games?
Being in a shopping center when the Brazil soccer team won the gold medal. The whole shopping center was going crazy cheering. It was really special.
How did you come to participate in your chosen sport? How old were you?
I was 8 years old and I had tried swimming, dancing, tennis and even a bit of golf and my parents suggested that because I was tall and hadn't tried a team sport, to give basketball a go. And I loved it!
What is the importance of sport for you in your life?
Sport is a great way to socialise and have fun whilst keeping fit and healthy. It brings people from all walks of life together. It is also a great stress release to get your mind off other aspects of life.
