Village Art primary winner

Congratulations to the two students who have been selected by 2016 Chef de Mission, Kitty Chiller as the winners of the Village Art program.

There were over 9,000 artworks from more than 250 schools submitted around Australia ahead of this year’s Games, that will all decorate the walls of the Olympic Village.

Sherdian Weston from Roseville College in Sydney was selected as the winner of the secondary competition with her beautiful sketch of Eloise Wellings.

Jaden Phan from Stonnington Primary School in Victoria claimed the primary competition with his creative drawing of Australian mascot BK and the Rio 2016 mascots.

To our athletes, the Village artworks that hang in their bedrooms during the Olympics is very special. The artworks inspire them and let them know that Australia as a nation are supporting them.

The Australian Olympic Committee would like to thank all of the students and teacher who took the time to enter submissions into this year's program.
