Indigenous Partnerships

Students from Palm Island are given a personal snowboard lesson by Olympian Ramone Cooper.

The AOC is passionate about supporting Australian indigenous communities through its Olympic education program, collaborating with organisations like the Cathy Freeman Foundation, Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy, the Remote School Attendance program and the Indigenous Marathon Project.

As well as celebrating the achievements of the 43 Indigenous Olympic athletes, the AOC organises Olympians to visit, lead and inspire community sessions, and involve Indigenous schools and communities in these programs as much as possible.
